Server Rules

• Treat every player and staff member with respect.
• Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, hate speech, threats, or harassment are strictly prohibited.
• Excessive toxicity or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

• BayviewRP is a serious roleplay server.
• Remain in character at all times unless directed by staff.
• Every action should make sense for your character and the current situation.

• Your character values their life just as a real person would.
• If you are outnumbered, surrounded, or held at gunpoint, you must roleplay realistically.
• If your vehicle is stationary and a gun is pointed at you, you must show fear — do not drive away. If you are already driving, this rule does not apply.

• Killing or seriously injuring another player without valid roleplay is forbidden.
• Every violent action must have a believable roleplay reason.

• Using vehicles as weapons is prohibited.
• Intentional ramming without a valid RP reason is considered VDM.

• After dying, your character forgets the events that led to their death.
• You may not return to the area for 30 minutes unless staff approve.
• Revenge based on previous events is prohibited.

Metagaming is using information your character could not realistically know. Examples include:

• Watching streams.
• Reading Discord messages.
• Using voice chats outside the game.
• Looking at another player's location.
• No one is to be in a Discord call while in the city unless they are staff.

Powergaming is forcing unrealistic actions or outcomes. Examples:

• /me knocks you out.
• Driving after severe injuries.
• Escaping impossible situations without roleplay.
• Performing unrealistic stunts.
• Driving cars while missing two or more wheels.

• Logging out to avoid arrest, death, or roleplay is prohibited.
• Accidental disconnects during RP must be reported immediately.

• You must have a valid roleplay reason to rob someone.
• Hostage situations must be realistic.

• Crime should be balanced and believable.
• No nonstop robberies or repeated attacks on the same players.
• Criminals must provide opportunities for negotiation and roleplay.
• No criminal activity 30 minutes before or after a storm.

• Police officers must follow department policies.
• No corruption within the police department.
• Officers must prioritize roleplay over winning situations.
• Only a body cam and radio may be taken from an officer — nothing else may be robbed from PD.

• EMS are neutral.
• Killing or kidnapping EMS without strong RP reasons is prohibited.
• Medical roleplay must be respected.
• Do not rob EMS.

Safe zones include:

• Hospital

No violence, robberies, or hostage situations may occur within these areas. You cannot run into a safe zone to avoid conflict.

The following will result in severe punishment:

• Cheating
• Mod menus
• Script injectors
• Duplication glitches
• Bug abuse
• Macro abuse

Report bugs instead of abusing them.

• Do not exploit money-making methods.
• Real Money Trading (RMT) is prohibited.
• Sharing accounts is not allowed.

• Characters must have realistic names.
• Character stories should remain believable.
• You must stay in character at all times while in the city unless staff approve otherwise.

Using another player's livestream for information is considered metagaming and is a bannable offense.

• Use clear communication.
• No unrealistic voice changers.
• Keep roleplay immersive.

• Staff decisions during live situations are final.
• Appeals can be made through Discord.
• Lying to staff or providing false evidence may result in punishment.
• Let staff handle situations — do not argue or explain rules in the city.

Creating alternate accounts to evade punishment will result in a permanent ban on all associated accounts.

• Use clips or screenshots whenever possible. Reports must include at least a two-minute clip.
• Do not argue in-game.
• Allow staff to handle investigations.

Not every situation can be covered by written rules. Staff reserve the right to act against behavior that harms the roleplay experience, even if it is not specifically listed.

• First offense — warning or kick.
• Second offense — temporary ban.
• Third offense — long-term ban.
• Severe violations (cheating, hate speech, doxxing, exploiting) — permanent ban.

By playing on BayviewRP you agree to follow all server rules. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.

Mandatory Consent: Before initiating a mature scene, you must get full consent from other player before acting out the scene

The Right to Refuse: Any player can say "no" or refuse a mature scene at any moment without needing a reason. If a participant expresses discomfort, the scene must stop instantly or immediately!

Witness Consent: If a mature or highly sensitive scene takes place in an area where third-party bystanders or witnesses can see or hear it, those bystanders must also give their consent. For this reason, these scenes are strictly banned in public server hotspots.

Zero Tolerance for Coercion: Attempting to use in-game leverage, power gaming, or threats to bypass consent is treated as severe sexual harassment and results in an immediate community exile.
